My marketing experience at 7even Seas Coffee Co. gave me the opportunity to do everything a full-time marketing coordinator does with the freedom to experiment and find my style. In this position, I performed duties ranging from social media marketing to sponsorship relations. It proved to me that this kind of job is for me and I feel confident I can perform it at a high level anywhere else.

Of all my duties at the internship, social media was what I had the most experience in. Interestingly enough, though, it may also have been the skill I grew the most. Not only did I learn the importance of a workflow in content creation, but I got results to show for it. It brought my game to another level that I have also been able to translate into my personal projects.

Event Coordination

At this internship, I spearheaded and hosted two separate events, and aided/covered even more. This taught me the importance of high-impact events for a business' success as well as the tools needed to make it happen. In each event, I was tasked with gathering sponsors to help cut costs and drive attendance, handle logistics, and advertise the events themselves.

The most impactful thing for me, though, was gaining the ability to host these events in the first place. I was thrust into positions where I needed to tell people where to go and what to do, I was acting as the face of the company for all those who came, and most of all I had to make sure everyone had a good time. After this, I am fully confident in my ability to perform all these tasks.
